It’s the Holiday Season! Strategy #2

Oh boy here it comes ~ the holidays! And 39 days until Christmas! It can be a time of hustle, hurry, and unfortunately stress and worry. So between now and then we’re going talking about, and share ways to have a happy enjoyable holiday season from now through Thanksgiving and until Christmas. Each day I will share a tip, secret, or simple strategy on how to keep yourself balanced and centered through the holiday season. It will take about 5 minutes a day.

Strategy #2 is time management.

Yesterday we talked about visualizing how you wanted your holiday season to go, who you would prefer to spend your time with, and what kinds of activities you would like to do or enjoy.

Well let’s be honest we can not possiably fit it all in no matter how hard we try. So take the time right now to get out the worksheet from yesterday.  Look at your top 5 desires of what you would like to experience this holiday season. Then write out a list of what it will take to accomplish each one.

Once your have your list or bulleted statements – think about the time element that it will take to fulfill each one. Be sure to give yourself extra time, or plan a cushion day to catch the just in cases. Then grab your calendar or cell phone and put these task or simple reminders in. What I learned from a trusted mentor is that if it is not on the calendar it is not real. And based on past experience  – he was right. Time slips by, we think we have one more day, and that day slips into the next and before you know it you are face to face with rushing to get it done.

 Action Step for today: put your bullet statements into your calendar.  

Deep Breath in! Cleansing Breath out! Say to yourself – simple strategies I put in place now will help me to walk in ease and grace, more centered, more balanced.I can do this!
