It’s the Holiday Season! Strategy #5
Oh boy here it comes ~ the holidays! It is 6 days until Thanksgiving and 36 days until Christmas! It can be a time of hustle, hurry, and unfortunately stress and worry. So between now and then we’re going to be talking about, and share ways to have a happy enjoyable holiday season from now through Thanksgiving and until Christmas. Each day I will share a tip, secret, or simple strategy on how to keep yourself balanced and centered through the holiday season. It will take about 5 minutes a day.
Hello and Welcome back! We are on strategy day five for relieving stress during the holiday season. Strategy #5 is Eat Good Food!
Yesterday we talked about getting some rest and making sure we take time to recharge ourselves by resting the physical body. Missed that one? Here it is: Click here for Strategy #4
Today I would like to remind you that is important to put good fuel into our human bodies. The energy we allow in is the energy that will come out. Think of it this way. If you take your car down to the gas station and put sugar in the gas tank what would you expect your cars performance to be like? Not good ~ and no one would like the outcome that it brings. So think about what you are feeding your body ~ and eat to be your most energetic, focused, and happy self. Do the same for your family.
Although it is not my area of expertise, I have heard that introducing larges amounts of sugar into your diet can weaken the human immune system. This combine with the changing temperatures and cold weather have been known to cause not so happy results. So simple strategy #5 is eat good food.
Action Step for today: Eat in wisdom toward the health of your physical body. Educate yourself on what that means for you and your physical body.
